Another great station from days gone by, Radio Norway is no longer on shortwave. At the time of this reception they presented a news program called "Norway this Week" along with other musical and cultural programming.
In the early days of radio broadcasting, stations depended on reports from listeners to determine how well their signal was being heard. In return for a reception report, stations would return a postcard verifying that the listener heard their station. Collecting these so-called QSL cards became an adjunct hobby to the larger pastime of shortwave listening.
